Amakó returns to the island after its tour between the Peninsula and Germany.
This time, and with new songs in their repertoire, they offer a concert in “Looper” format, taking their musical possibilities a step further.
Amakó is a World Music band formed by two musicians with extensive careers under their belts:
Ellen O, of German-Filipino origin, and Toñako Ixâh from the Canary Islands.
With their mix of styles from funk, soul, reggae, and the fusion of various ethnic instruments such as the didgeridoo, they create a sonic landscape with a unique character.
In their varied and passionate performances, the artists thrill visitors on a journey with a very personal touch.
They have just released their latest video, “Puerto Esperanza,” in collaboration with visual media artist Barbara Schedl.
Their new single was mixed by renowned producer Mario Olivares (Cobra Studios), with whom they continue to promote their project.
In October, they won first prize at ULL Rock 2024.
Free of any artifice, their musical approach is a consequence of their own way of life: a strong commitment to protecting the natural environment, a constant search for balance between body and mind, as well as the desire to build a more sustainable world.
